If you've had a fire, you're probably getting calls from people you've never heard of. Some of them are good companies. Some are just selling your information to someone else. I'd rather you know exactly who you're dealing with, so here's what G3 Knows does on a fire loss and how we do it.

We're based in Argyle, TX, and we serve homeowners and businesses across North Texas, including Flower Mound, Highland Village, Southlake, Keller, Trophy Club, Roanoke, Lantana and the surrounding towns.

What Does Fire Damage Restoration Include?

Fire restoration isn't one job. It's several jobs that have to happen in the right order:

  • Fire damage assessment. What burned, what's smoke damaged, what's wet, and what's still structurally sound.
  • Fire and smoke mitigation. Board-up, tarping, soot and odor cleanup.
  • Water damage following firefighting. Extraction and drying so you don't end up with mold on top of smoke.
  • Contents inventory documentation. Helping you organize what was in the home and its condition.
  • Repair-scope preparation. A room-by-room scope written in Xactimate.
  • Structural reconstruction. Framing, roofing, drywall, cabinets, flooring, paint and trim.

Who Does What on the Job?

CMDR Restoration (TDLR RCO #1801) is our mitigation partner. CMDR secures the property, removes water, dries the structure and handles soot and odor cleanup. Once the home is stable, G3 Construction rebuilds it from the same file.

That's the difference. You're not hiring a mitigation company, then finding a contractor, then explaining everything all over again. One team. One point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough.

What Does Our Process Look Like?

  1. Call. Tell us what's happening. We handle intake and get the right people out.
  2. Secure and clean. Board-up, soot and odor cleanup, and water extraction by CMDR Restoration.
  3. Document. We inspect room by room and write the repair scope in Xactimate.
  4. Rebuild. G3 Construction handles the structural and interior rebuild, keeps you updated, and walks the finished work with you.

Why Do Homeowners Pick G3?

We're a lot more than a roofing company. On a daily basis, our team handles projects from storm-damaged roofs to whole-home restoration after water, mold and fire. A fire loss usually touches the roof, the attic, the walls, the floors and the finishes, and we can rebuild all of it.

We also film our work. Watch "Restoring Hope: Transforming Fire-Damaged Homes" above, or our post-fire flyover, and you'll see the before and after for yourself. We'd rather show you than tell you.

And we care about the people. Construction shouldn't feel transactional. Things go wrong on every construction project. What matters is how a contractor responds, and we care about the relationship, so we respond the right way.

What Should I Do Before We Arrive?

  • Wait for the fire department's all-clear before entering.
  • Don't wipe soot. It smears and sets.
  • Keep the HVAC off so soot doesn't spread.
  • Secure pets, medications and documents.
  • Call your carrier, then call us.

What About My Insurance Claim?

We document the damage so your claim can move. Photos, measurements and a written scope go to your carrier. We don't negotiate or adjust claims, and we won't give you coverage opinions. We're your contractor, and our job is to document clearly and build it right. The 1-year workmanship warranty backs our work.
